FAQs

How does it work?

You can book a desk space in the coworking area by the day for any weekday (7.30am to 3pm) or for half a day (9am to 12pm or 12pm to 3pm) when the café is open. Coworking is closed on Saturday and Sunday.

How much is a desk space?

We have a couple of options:

£20 for a day pass, regardless of how long you stay during opening hours of 7.30am - 3pm.

£10 for a half day pass of either 9am - 12pm or 12pm - 3pm.

What’s included in the passes?

Desk space in an enclosed area of the café, away from the main café floor.  There are plug and USB points and a faster WiFi dedicated to the coworking space.  We also provide regular size hot drinks throughout your stay for the day; water is also provided.

How do I book?

Through our website.  Select the date you want to book, for the full day pass it will only show 7.30am as available as it is a day pass, select 7.30am and click Next to complete your details and payment.  Once booked you will receive a confirmation email which you will need to show at the café counter when you arrive.  Let the team member know your choice of first drink and take a seat in the coworking area.

I only want to use the space for an hour or two, can I book by the hour?

No, however we offer half day passes for this and you’re free to use it however long you want between your booked times and come and go as you please, your seat is booked for the period of the pass.

Is there parking available?

Yes, we have parking to the rear of the café.  We share the carpark with the gym next door and we’re a busy café so we can’t guarantee a space when you arrive. 

How do I connect to the WiFi?

The wifi name is 3MobileWIFI-B1C8 and the password changes daily so a team member will let you know the password when you arrive.

Can I bring a colleague or other person?

No.  Each person needs to book in to use the space.  We want to offer an area for quiet working, so we don’t allow children in the coworking area except to use the toilet.

Can I have a meeting in the space?

You can book more than one desk space but physical meetings aren’t encouraged as we intend it to be a place for quiet working.  Phone or video calls are fine, however please be mindful of other users of the space.

How do I order drinks?

We are working on ordering to your desk via our Magic Stamp app so in future you won’t need to leave your seat.  In the meantime, you will need to order at the counter and your drink will be brought to you.

Are food or soft drinks included in the booking price?

Food is not included, however we have a breakfast and lunch menu available all day until 30 minutes before we close.  Soft drinks are also not included but water is provided.  We don’t allow outside food to be consumed in the coworking space.

How do I cancel?

You can cancel up to 24 hours before 7am of your booked day to receive a full refund.  Any booking cancelled within 24 hours of 7am of the booking will not be refunded. Please contact us for a full refund (we are working on automating this). 

Is the coworking space wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately not.  The coworking space is accessed via a step to a raised separate room.  Due to how old the building is this cannot be adjusted.
